The following was posted on Warseer by the much respected Harry and Hastings79. Who are usually right 99.999% of the time.
Just to add a little history this was the first post a while back.
I leave you now to enjoy these rumours and discuss.

Pretty sad if true. Some armies didn't even get 7th edition books, and they have to wait on something that did. Really screwed up schedule if you ask me.
I am right 94% of the time, why worry about the other 3%.
Its probably because Orcs and Goblins are one of the flagship armies for warhammer and are guaranteed to sell reasonably well. The majority of the models in the army are plastic and can sell well. Its all about marketing in the end.
ow man i was looking forward to playing this armybook in 8th... few dents and cracks nothing un faq able...
Warchief Diggah o da Bloodmoon Squiggahs
Precious dwarfs.. They're also a flagship army. Dwarfs are off pretty good with the current rules though, they don't need it as much as some others. I think its a bit unfair the vile grobi are getting a new book and old 6th edition books are unupdated. It's almost like empire or high elves getting an update. Might sound like a weird comparison, but those books were the ones released right after the greenskins IIRC.
If the gobbo's get a gigantig spider, I want a zepellin and animated runic ancestor statues like seen in the background on page 153.
From a biased standpoint I'm delighted. This edition is all smashy like Orcs should be and instead the current disaster book is making Goblins literally twice as good as orcs, for half the cost. They need redoing so badly as the book was never ever ever good and they were at one point THE most popular army in the game. No more than 7 years ago. Also I kinda want to play them.
Fortes Fortuna Adiuvat
Ive heard loads of rumours about this new book but no confirmations or model rumours, only speculations, im well aware of Hastings's reputation, but i just dont wanna get too excited untill i hear a bit more. Im hoping for Plastic rock lobba and doom diver, plastic warboss on wyvern (biiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiig ask i know) and brand new orc magic, Our magic seems a bit too 'limp' compared to the choices other armies get, e.g HE, Empire and Lizzies can use all the lores.
These are my blue dice, There are many more like them, But these ones are mine.
Wait, wait, what? Mighty Battles? Is that like the Warhammer Fantasy version of 40k Apocalypse? I have never heard of it before. And what is this I hear about super units?you are likely going to get your wish. As will Dark Elves who are getting animated statues of Khaine. There are plans for every army to have at least one super unit for Mighty Battles.
I don't suppose there is a thread on these things else where is there?
These "super units" intrigue me, as long as they don't turn out to be like the Stompa and the Baneblade, over a $100 and can only be used in a special game that requires a $70 rulebook and will never be played by the group. (If you can tell I am sour, its because that is what happened to Apocalypse in our group.)
