Oh God this is Cringeworthy
(Chandler from Friends moment)
Could they *be* any more awkward?
I thought they were ok.
Nice an simple way to explaine a races background in a more 'human' way than the souless peice of paper that is WD. It takes them what, half a day to do this and it will generate lots of interest.
I hear and I forget, I see and I remember, I do and I understand
Success is the ability to go from failure to failure without losing your enthusiasm.
I suppose I should clarify, I did find the content very good and it was well explained.
But... Having to watch 3 people sitting in a room for 10/15 minutes wasn't great. Phil was the worst, constantly fidgeting or moving and distracting me from what was actually being said. Adam Troke reading questions off a wall was also so obvious he may as well have had a script or sheet of questions in front of him.
In my opinion it would have been much better as a voice over while artwork of the Dark Eldar being discussed was shown, maybe returning to the studio each time the topic of conversation changed.
I thought thy came across quite well. Phil's not a bad public speaker and he was OK in this, although he did tend to go off on tangents. Adam's not a great interviewer, but they made a joke of it. Jes I thought came across really well and made discussing fluff for toy soldeirs sound quite intellegent, with the odd bit of decent humor. Not bad over all.. I'd rather watch this than xfactor.....
I thought it had some good information, especially for someoene who doesn't own the codex. Phil and Jes were good, a bit long-winded and could have gone on some varied topics, but it was interesting. Troke bothered me, he seemed akward and just kind of dumb, especially when he didn't even know his own interview questions. Overall, good. Better than nothing, anyway, haha, and I'm sure it took them less then an hour to make.
On a side note I do wonder why our hobby is so nieche it doesn't get any exposure on TV, and why video gaming gets so little and such low quality. Tonight on english TV there is coverage of the NBA. I have never met a brit who has any interest in the NBA, just like I doubt I'll ever meet an american who cares much for the Ashes, yet that got an hour on a major channel (admittedly late at night). How come video gaming (which is now very much mainstream) gets very low quality TV and TT wargaming gets nothing?
All of the videos are now up. Enjoy.
