Welcome to Librarium Online!
Hey ALL, i just thought i'd tell you guys that when i was in Games Workshop the other day one of the workers said that they are going to change ALL the Fantasy army books into hard covers. I hope it is true because that means we ALL get hard covered Fantasy books yeah wooo hoooo!!!
....With a new Hard cover price tag. Yeah... "Woo hoo" -.-
If all they do is simply reprint the books in hardcover without rewriting/redoing for 8th edition, I'll kill 'em...just kill 'em...
That would be a spit in our face so flagrant I am not sure the point in it. I love GW and all, but I hope it falls flat on its face and the fellow that suggested this gem of an idea is out selling paper products door-to-door in short fashion.
...Yeah, it's a nice idea in theory. But then, communism is a nice idea in theory it just won't work in practice.
How much would that make every army book cost? Up to £25-30 I should think. And yeah, it would be ridiculous for them to reprint all the army books without actually doing anything to update any of them. Like I say, a nice idea, but I'll sure be annoyed if they do it.
Full colour, hardback army books at £22.50
I personally can't wait
Brokendoll Miniature Painting - (Coming Soon)
Muse2k8's Painting Antics (WIP and Finished Models thread)
The guy who said that they where remaking them all into hard cover probably ment when they acually re-do the codex. So (for example) TK will most likely get a hardcover book. Then the next fantasy book will as well etc etc.
Until they all are hardcover. Sound plausiable?
I don't get it.
No more NG spearmen, thanks! Now I need some pump-wagons!
Well, yeah. Since the Orc book is in hard back it would be rather bizarre if Gw didn't do the rest in hard back as well. Now they wont do it to existing books, that's madness and stupid, they'll make a hardback version when the 8th Ed army book comes round to being done.
As for, do I like the idea? Hell yes. My WoC book fell apart after a weeks use and now is stuck together with cellotape and looks rubbish. I'm all for Hard back if it means my book stays together. The Orc book is REALLY nicely done as well so if they all follow suit then, again, no complaints from me.
Paint Monkey: I've no idea either........
Some people like being angry? I personally am velocitating* wildly in anticipation for the Tomb King book, a hard cover, full colour tome of awesomeness just suits their style like crazy.
*This isn't a word, but it explains my behaviour so well that I used it anyway.
