Now, this isn't really a rumour, as it has been confirmed, but I'm not sure it belongs anywhere else. I was down at GW Peterborough today and I was talking to the manager about prices and how they have risen. He told us outright that, in the UK at least, the price of paints would increase fomr £1.50 to £1.75 at around Easter. Just thought y'all might want to hear this.

Hrmmm, just another reason for me to switch to Vallejo Paints. I understand they are fantastic with a great range of colors. I guess all the GW fanatics will still use them. If anything I hope they change the pots once these crappy screw-close ones are out of stock.

Yeah... There's lotsa things GW shouldn't have done.

Personally I prefer the old 'white lid' paints to these screw on ones.. Sometimes I need a wrench just to open them!

The old ones were much better and I still have quite a few of them that I use regularly. The old ones also had the advantage that if the lid got clogged up with dried paint you could easily remove it. The new ones are just plain crap...

And now we're at it I might as well mention the plastic glue... The old one with the brush was much cooler! The new one also stinks of Slaanesh bigtime but I suppose that's to warn the user of the toxic fumes BUT THEY STILL SHOULD HAVE KEPT THE BRUSH!

Do you people agree?

Heh, BobaHat, on the pots I agree. They were definately better that the ones now. As for the glue I cannot say. It was always Testor's for me...

Ok the paints cost 1.50£ now... that's around 18kr, and it costs 30kr at my local store...
Hmm, damn... if I'm not completely wrong it will cost me like 35-40kr when it rises like that!!!! Not good...
Well, just have to buy while it still is "cheap".

About the pots, i agree the old pots where better. The new ones just dry up, I usually have to throw away 1-2 pots each month, sometimes even more... just because they dry...

What other waterbased paints do you guys recomend?

Eztrovia!

I don't know any other water-based paints I can get here... for glue I use revell plastic glue, it works very good, lasts real long and costs about 3 euros (maybe less). It's also easy to use for recesses, it's got this hollow needle sort of thing so you can get the glue exactly where you want it.

Yeah I heard the old pots will be back too. But I don't see why this justifies a price hike.
