Meh. Warhammer is still cheaper than most crap in life. Look at the cost of freaking video games nowadays - 300$ for your system with extra controller, memory card, etc... Add to that the monthly fee for on-line services, and then you get to buy the games at around 40-80$ a pop?!!

So I could have built an entire army for that and still had change for lunch.

And really, US & UK guys get off easy with the cost of 'luxury' items. Try paying Canadian or worse yet, Aussie prices for the same things!

i was only joking, i tend to buy from FLGS at 20-25% loyalty discount + occasional bonusses anyway, I've never told anyone to stop buying games workshop products, just to stop buying it from games workshop. their bricks and mortar buisness plan is built around taking advantage of people who don't know where to compare prices.

Must be that time of the year again. Fortunately with a Space Marine army to finish, a Dark Eldar army to start on after that and an Exodite/Corsair/Craftworld customized combo Eldar army to work on as a side project (and all three are all plastic), I'm pretty much done buying models for a good long while. If GW comes out with something that is just over the top awesome and will fit with any of those armies I may pick it up (or get the parts I want from bitz dealers) but beyond that I already have plenty of models to work on.
To me, it's funny that GW makes the same mistakes so many other companies make. If your sales are down and people are not buying your product, raising your prices is not going to get your sales back up.

I honestly don't get why so many people get pissed about this. I've never changed my budget based on Games Workshop prices, I simply wait longer or buy less at a time. Unless you're the kind of person who goes and gets 2000 points at a time, the increase is easily managable, and if you are that person, then you can obviously afford this, so stop complaining.

    +1

GW prices ajustments cost just a few pennies overall when you've suffered for over 8 years under Daddy Premier and his tax-and-spend Fiberal government who think things like 1.5 billion dollars per year for all-day babysitting is a top priority...

Well, the prices were still the same today and when i said to various GW employees "so i see some of your prices are going up again" they were all like "what? really? nobody told us!"

...so Independant stockists find out but not GW employees...are you sure the price increase is legit?

*shrug* might only apply to wholesale costs for stockists so the margin for discount will be reduced, might just be nervous rumours based on scratch. we'll just have to wait and see.
