i remember hearing something about it on the gw website, but cant seem to get any more information. i missed out on eye of terror and am really looking forward to this one. if any one can give me some info it would be greatly appreciated!
note that this is the 40k one, not conquest of the new world.
im have no clue but i am interested in it wat site did you see it on.
also i imagine it has something to do with the tyranids and terra i think>
It's not Battle for McCragge? That seems like the most-mentioned storyline this year...
No it wouldn't be that because we know how that ended up. Even if it is just a illusion of infulence that we have over the 40k world, GW will keep it that way.
<(^^)> <(^^<) (>^^)> ^(^^)^ Dance Kirby! Dance!
Well, the rumour is that the campaign is Ichar IV, where the Ultramarines and other allies defeated the bulk of the second Hive Fleet, Kraken around 994.M41 or thereabouts. Thing is, if we get to play a campaign regarding that battle, then we can change the course of it and alter 40k history, so I don't understand.
Why doesn't GW just go ahead into the 42nd millenium with its campaigns? We all want to see where the story progresses, not just revisit battles we already know about.
THe only campaign this year is the special one ran by forgeworld. The Tarios Campaign using IA3.
IA3/Taros is out in the summer I beleive. Most of FW's current output is dedicated to it of late.
Forces involved :
Avenging Sons SM's
Elysian Drop Troops IG
See there website for more details.
GW has NO full-blown worldwide (EoT/SoC) campaigns this year for either WHFB or WH40K.
The Lustria and IcharIV campaigns are smaller-scale narratives for them to push the new fantasy and 40K models on unsuspecting players. =)
As such, the IcharIV campaign will have even less effect on the "history" of WH40K than the worldwide capmaigns, since it has already happened: The Tyranids were defeated. Also, makes no sense to me to make an IcharIV campaign while not giving official rules for 'Stealer Cults... Since IcharIV was best known for being amongst the first worlds where a Genestealer Cult uprising was linked to the arrival of the Tyranid Hive Fleets.
