ive seen new previews for some of the tau. IMHO tau arent in need of a further upgrade, there are many more armies which could do with new models/new codex e.g. dark eldar & eldar. how long has it been since the last eldar/DE update? why are GW promoting and developing the tau more?
Tau have been lacking in selections. Therefore the update has been made. Also it looks as Tau sale are up and therefore get the updates first.
how many times with the thread of "this armies getting done over" come up
use the search icon please.
though in asnwer to your question many armies need redoing and the tau got done first
The new Tau codex has been and still is being debated in many other threads. Also, everyone has complained that the Orks and Eldar did not get an update first, however, the explanation given was that the new Codexrks was in progress. Then a chief designer left, and some other chaotic stuff happened, so Codexrks is on temporary hold. GW didn't want to slow down on re-releasing armies, so they went for an army that would take a relatively short time to complete, and an army that has some difficulties and good ideas for fixes already. Thus, the Tau. Also, Railrifles aren't in the current codex, and there are quite a few forgeworld models that players have been yelling to be allowed in tournaments since they are loved. There was quite a bit of demand for a Tau edit, and since it would take a short time to do, GW opted for it as a cover-up while they fixed the Ork situation. For further questions/comments, go to the Tau forum. There are plenty of threads already going on the subject, and it won't take you much time to find them.
My gaming group's new motto: That army you're using is overpowered because it hurts my guys, codex is broken and needs a rewrite.
ok thnks guys
As stated, there are too many threads dealing with this. In the future, we'd prefer you to use the search function, or iven look down the list, for current topics.
