As the topic mentions, I am in deep want of an imperial fist codex that would apply to Imperial Fists, Crimson Fists, Black Templers and all other succsesor chapters. Does anyone have any news to confirm or disclaim this?
not what i herd of. but u can use the special rules in INDEX ASTARTES VOLUME 2
what they ought to do in the next edition of codex space marines is add an appendix in the back, like they did with chaos space marines, for playing imperial fists, raven guard, etc. yeah, the space wolves, blood angels, and dark angels would need their own (especially the wolves).
i like what they did with the imperial guard, with the doctrines rule. might be something to consider to costomise space marine armies.

I thought Imperial Fists were Vanilla Marines? exactely the same as Ultramarines but anyway. It would be handu to have, but the Black Templars wouldnt need it & there isnt any other really popular Imperial Fists suceccessor chapters around. & i have to say from where i am Black Templar seem more popular than Imperial Fists. Black Templars also use the Armageddon Codex.
Fear The Wrath Of The ANZAC Clan
Crimson Fist and Imperial Fists then, the forgoten chapters. And what do you mean they arnt popular! Me and another guy in my local gw both play em, well used too about a month ago. . .
I also, would not say the Crimsom Fists are not popular. I play Crimsom Fists. I have gone to Grand Tourney's and there are at least 3 other Crimsom Fist players there. The Imperial Fists Codex Astartes is the Crimsom Fists special rules......BUT THEY SUCK! I too would like to see new rules for the Crimsom Fists. They have been the poster boys for GW and the SM line. Yet they have been forgotten. I have heard the new SM Codex will be simular to the IG Codex.....as to say you will be able to customize your chapter or use the templates for the already established chapters (ie...Space Marines, Blood Angels...ect). This is what I am hearing from my contact inside GW U.S.A.
the imperial fists are the "seige masters" of the loyalist's. they are kinda like the iron warriors, but without so much bionics. I think that the new codex will have doctrins like the IG codex, and maybe even special rules for the 1st founding chapters.
EX: Seige masters- Imperial Fist armys may take an extra heavy support in exchange for 2 fast attck choices.
Just a thought

Hey, Mr Emperors Champion, The Ultramarines are not Vanilla Marines, They're ultra. 5 special characters and a Tyranid Hunting squad, hey, that's more than most other chapters have.(don't wanna argue, not the point here, just had to vent)
And about the IF's getting a codex, eh, I like Dorns Lapdogs and all, but all they have is a one Sergeant Lysander and some siege rules. Now I agree with Baradiel that it would be friggin' awesome for the new codex to have all the 1st founding chapters in the codex somewhere, such as the Book of Khorne being replaced by the Blood Angels, cause c'mon, do they really need their own little book for the 5 pages of different stuff and a couple of extra rules? Not really. the only one that needs their own codex would be the Wolves, if they include the 13th company rules in it, if now they can take pappa Nurgles spot.
What I'm really trying to get at is if your Fists get a codex, The Ultras need one too.
Actually the Crimson Fists do not use the Imperial Fists rules, they are just vanilla.
