City playing mat
in the immortal words of Bruce Campbell:
Life is too serious to be taken seriously
Yeah Im using the basing kit for my army...
the basing kit will definately come in handy and the barricades look pretty cool but i agree with the above that the cityfight map looks like a one trick pony if you know what i mean
I think the mat is for if you run your own "campagin" thing hence the counters. If I am wrong, it is a pritty crap piece of terrain
What's the basing kit then? A box of bit's n a book?
Well, that battle mat looks better than the black spray-painted table most people use for a "city." Some people even plop buildings on top of a green grass mat!
Just to double-check: you all realize you're supposed to put buildings on top of the mat, right? That the mat is just the "pavement"?
Per the new White Dwarf, the Cities of Death box set also comes with one of each of the new types of plastic building GW is putting out... the Manufactorum, Basilica Administratum, etc. I'm sure somebody else has a full list.
New US WD released today has prices for cityfight
$175 for the big box (28 sprues, 10 buildings)
$20 for the standalone book
$75 for book + 3 buildings
$90 for imperial sector
$15 for battlemat
"strategems counter set" $8
"Stratagems building set" $20
Barricades and walls $25
Individual building (either one) $25
Beautiful stuff, but still pretty expensive....oh well, maybe I'll just add a few to the cityfight table I have already :w00t:
"Politics is the womb in which war develops"
I think I'll probably get some of the stuff. I've always wanted to try a cityfight game, but I suck at building terrain so I'd likely never get enough buildings. With these ones fairly cheap (by GW standards) maybe I'll go and pick some up along with Cities of Death when they come out.
