As a lot of people, I'm eagerly anticipating the release of 7th edition skull pass starter set. Mainly for the rulebook, but with over 100 models inside, that's gotta be good.
My only question is, what will the price be? (preferably in AUD).
Has Games workshop confirmed it yet. I suppose it will be 95AUD like maccragge but there is a lot more stuffin the box so what are your estimates?
i think that it will be 150 $ aud like the old one cse itd better
put this is only a estimate
macragge is only 85 aud... not 95
The battle of skull pass will cost $85 in Australia.
Im not as sure about how many models are in it though, but probably NOT 100 for $85..
I know its dwarves & goblins but probably only 1 squad of each and a character or something like that.
Dont forget the rulebook in the Skull pass box will be the small A5 variation, containing only the rules. (no hobby stuff or fluff etc)
If you just want the new rulebook (the big hard cover one) and not the rest of the cr*p then you can buy it seperately (as i'll be doing). Despite what alot of people beleive.
I think the hard cover one on its own will retail for about $70-75
Also, if you want to buy the current $150 box set, you can send in the A5 copy of the current rules that it contains, and they will send you a full-size hard cover new edition rulebook. Probably need to hold on to the reciept.
I think there is also another deal where you get the book plus some kind of limited edition model (for a price of course) but i cant remember it exactly.
The official release date for Australia is September 9.
Source: all of this was told to me when i called the main Games Workshop ' headquarters' in NSW, by the customer service guy.. and it sounded alot like he was checking & reading official thing, not just throwing estimates.
If you need further confirmation, call them yourselves. They are happy to help.
Hope that clears it up.

Thanks for the replies,
but to the 100 model statement, I'm only taking it from what white dwarf 319 stated. It just forgot to mention the price.
But again thanks again for the help.
It might be a bit more than macragge because there seem to be way more models...and you know GW..The more models u get, the more expencive it will be...
By day he fought with sword and shield.....
By night he fought with pen and parchment.....

Skull pass will definately have 100ish models and will be priced around the same as Macragge, although it could be slightly more due to loads of models.
I know in the US that all three starter sets will be $45. I think the idea is not unlike consoles, take a bit of a loss on the starter set to get more people buying the crack.
I would expect the same contents worldwide with the price the same as Macragge and Mines of Moria.
Well, Maelstrom Games has it at £36, and thats with a 10% discount, and so thus will be £40
But who knows, it may change
Life is too serious to be taken seriously
I wonder how much it will cost in the good ol UK. :hmm:
Basically life sucks, there is only war and you're probably gonna get eaten by Tyranids, have fun.
