    further price increase

    Hi all,

A friend at my local gaming club has a subscription to WD so receives his copy early. Apparently GW UK blisters ranging from 3-7 pounds will have their price raised by 1 pound and paint brushes are going up by 50p as of September /October. Just thought you may like to know.

    Regards Mark

Well have you guys acrossed the pond have the price "update cough cough" that we in the states have had. If so then this is getting out of hand.

Thank god for ebay and other art suppliers.

Who cares about price increases? The only way to get your stuff is like Deek said by Ebay. That is the BEST way to get most of your Warhammer 40K.

Yeah in the states we just had a price "update"... (33% increase for most blisters... t.t)

Did this occur in the UK as well? Like Deek said, if this is on TOP of the July increase here, it's gettin' a bit absurd.

What's sad is its harder to support your local hobby shop that sells GW cause its always better to buy online. I am a big bargain hunter, priding myself on finding good deals, especially on high priced GW minis. But if everyone just bought there stuff from ebay/online merchants, what would happend to the local store owner and your meeting place for gaming? Not to mention they usually ahve a gaming room/boards, ect. I buy most of my big purchases online, but I make it a point to buy paints, other hobby supplies, White Dwarfs, and blisters at my local shop. I usually try to make at least a small purchase every time i visit (maybe once every two weeks) whether it be a White Dwarf or a blister pack. Its too bad GW's price increases will end up driving some of these guys out of business as people look for alternative dealers for their addiction...

My God, GW already charges like $8 for those gigantic brushes they call "detail brushes", don't they? That's insane...

That might be a little too much trouble to be worth it XD

And I don't exactly want to boycott GW here, despite them being way too overpriced, I still support them

Nonetheless, I have rather good digital graphic editing/etc skills.

Never ever buy GW brushes! A good art store will have much higher quality ones for less. They'll last 4 times as long too.
