I'm like most people getting the new warhammer box game, i'm then swopping my dwarves in the set with someone for his goblins (i dislike dwarves, he dislikes goblins so works out perfectly).
That gets me for £40...
2 Night Goblin Big Bosses
2 Night Goblin Shamans
80 Night Goblin Spearmen
40 Night Goblin Archers
20 Forest Goblin Spider Riders.
Plus rulebook, dice, templates and them crappy rulers they keep sticking in the boxes lol
The point is, that's an awesome goblin force for £40, just what can they possibly stick in the battalion box (i hope they will do a seperate orc, goblin box) for £50 that beats this?
I can't see them fitting in 100+ models into a £50 box set that's multiple components..
They wont, but then again you have to live with the snap-together mini, which arn't my favorite. You can't get a better value, so if you can live with the sna together minis I say go fo it!
PS: This really isn't a rumor or a preview and many other people have come up with the same idea. You should probly check the O&G forum before posting stuff like this.
Have you seen the models in the new box set up close? they're fantastic, the variety is impressive. I know with components you can have every model individually different, but in ranked up troops this is usually not the case.
I can definitely live with the snap together figures, i'll be using the doom diver, squigs and fanatics to give my army a bit of character
Yea, I just got the Snap together mini with WD 320. They are pretty good, my oly gripe with them is that the shield arm isn't seperate.
And Squigs are getting even more powered up. See WD 320 fantasy Battle Report to find out what I mean
