I really do not like that wizard...It is practically impossible to paint good flames. Plus, it sort of implies you have a fire wizard. Who really uses fire?

Me! But anyway, that wizzard looks meh. Trully is the best model to show a miscast as "Doomthought" said.

Edit:Those handgunners looks like the old ones. Am I wrong ? No.
Edit2:The flames can be painted blue, green etc. not only yellow/red, you know that ? So it cant only be a fire wizzard.

overall, i like the new empire, but not that wizard. Flames almost never look good sculpted, and i find that it looks to static, but on the lores, you could use a real dark blue for lore of death or something like that

I kinda like the flames. I like the fact that GW is getting alot more original with their sculpts and branching out and trying new stuff (look at the eldar bonesinger). The problem i have with the model is the way the flames are painted. People get the misconception when they paint flame that it goes red-orange-yellow-(sometimes) white. The natural way to paint flames is in complete reverse. And i bert adding a leyer of scorch brown and then black will make it look smokey and i think that would improve the model.

Yeah GW tends to give miscasts as 'super-hiper limited models' -eg. woodelf standard bearer , direct sales only wardancer.
