Welcome to Librarium Online!
Basically life sucks, there is only war and you're probably gonna get eaten by Tyranids, have fun.
that looks... original, looks a little one sided only showing the Termies in their original flavour and not the other squads,
isn't it supposed to be a mindless rabble of loonies swarming all over the place? it could be the front cover of some new Chaos Termies:yes:
good find though!
i don't like it, it's not dark and gritty enough, remove the icons and they could just be ravenguard termi's.
If this is the style of the new codex chaos marines will just be Space marines with spikes on :x
Well, I would not be surprised. After all, a milder cover might be easier to run by your parents if they sponsor the hobby... There is a lot of younger players that get only those pieces that are deemed "good" or "safe" by their parents... GW is for sure looking to keep those people buying...
The artist is clearly a noob,
He should drop the plasma pistol and take a pair of lightning claws.
Also, he needs daemonic speed, aura and resilience too.
I'm not sure about the terminator retinue either. They tend to be a point sink. I'd prefer to keep them focused and deep strike them.
As always, thanks Jared

1. The fact that there is a heavily amoured and mean looking marneus calgar (or Marneus Calgar the Almighty Pwnzor Machine Spirited Mofo) unloading a not so looney tunes clip of bolter ammo which I don't know about you but I would classify as... gun violence... perhaps.
2. If you focus your attention further down but not quite to the bottom (we'll get to that on number 3) you will notice these two things, a duo of servitors who don't really look like they have their original teeth, or skin, or metallic tubes. Also slightly to the left, we find our eyes meeting with the scene of a custodian marine plunging a hard metal golden rod straight through a tyranid's ribcage, mmm the kiddies love that one.
3. And finally, bottom center stage we notice the pleasant sights of a Space marine who may or may not have had some sort of extremely painful (or not so painful) but quite scarring Lobotomy. However the real unappeasing to parents item of this Lobotomy marine scene is the fact that he is decapitating a tyranid right there on the spot.
So gather around parents, because if you do so and pay attention for one second to little timmy's model, you'll notice that the thing dangling from his soldier's little belt is quiet an inflatable hammer but in fact the head of another not so hygienic being.
And thats all from me folks...

If you pay close attention to those fluctuations, you'll notice that they're pretty much in sync with the larger mood of our societies, i.e. whether they are tolerant of violence or not.
In the US, violence was currently OK, and it is shifting towards less acceptance of it.
Without going into politics, the US when governed by Republicans are usually more tolerant of violence and less tolerant of sex, while the opposite is true of Democrat governments.
So my guess is that GW is just more or less unconsciously following wider cultural trends.
"Politics is the womb in which war develops"
I hope that's not the cover, it's so... bland... and cartoony... It doesn't follow the current trend of codex covers in being more sinister and grim, and they just look like S&M Marines. Then again, if you read the thread on Chaos rumors at Warseer it WILL sound like GW is turning Chaos into Marines with Spikes.
