GW discontinuing inks and paints

I was in my local hobby shop yesterday. They had a sign up saying that all of the inks were being re-worked and would be pulled from the shelf soon. Also, they had a long list of paints that were being discontinued including 'ard coat. Any truth to this rumor?

Don't know about discontinued, but when i was in my local GW they were telling me that the inks were being re-released better, so they won't pool anymore and just generally give better coverage.

Might be part of the long-anticipated "foundation inks" rumor we've been hearing for some time. GW has been making noises about some kind of new inks for a while now. As for the discontinued paints and ard coat, I know nothing.

As it's an area you might expect me to know something about, I can indeed shed some light on this one.

The entire range of Inks, except for Chestnut and Flesh Wash, has been discontinued.
Several (3 or 4, I believe) of the regular paints have also been discontinued.
Stores in the UK (London area at least) no longer carry these, not even in the store room or anything.

However, the inks will be being replaced by a set of 'washes', which will be released between late May and early July (from what I hear).
I've also been told that the long awaited 'hand flamer' will probably be released alongside the new washes.

oh yeah forgot about the hand flamer, yeah that is getting released.
The hand flamer is a spray paint adaption to give you more control with the can.

you mean GW are going to release thier own (overpriced) airsprayer.
or is it a focusing tube attached to the spray cans?
Hand flamer is an interesting title to give it

more than likely over priced, but its gonna look like a hand flamer, and its just a focusing tube i think. Check the beginners guide to airbrushing tutorial to see something like it, it fits onto the can and keeps your hands out the way, letting you move your wrist more freely.
