that peice of scenery would deffinitly put a 4x4 table in perspective, imagine a whole
wh40k game on a stair case. Sounds like fun. I'm tempted to build a temple of my own.

What did you use to cut the insulation foam? I know your piece isnt smooth but is there anything you could suggest that I could use to cut the foam leaving a smoothish finish? I have tried my craft knife but I leaves it rough, so I use it for cutting rocks, but its not good for bases, hills ect.

Getting a wire foam cutter was the best thing i ever did for my terrain projects. They are crazy fun to work with, and go through foam like butter. Be careful though, they will burn you if you touch the wire, and the fumes aren't exactly healthy. But it's well worth it!
Indeed a hotfoam cutter will leave a smooth edge and is alot of fun use. But be careful is difficult sometimes to get percious cuts as the headed blad will literally melt more foam then you wanted it to.
Your knife will blunt very quickly in foam BTW.
P.S. Mug a locak dark angels player for the spare book off their veterans upgrade sprue - for the altar
(or file down markings & greenstuff for acolytes in power armour & robes for your inquisitor if you get the whole box. It's not that expensive.)

LOL, way ahead of you on that one. The book came off just before I took the pictures.
I should really finish these pieces and post them fully painted.
