Default The Iron Chef Scenery: The Start Up

Ok so after being contacted by Shonuff and batting around a few ideas this came forth. We are going to start duking it out week by week, month by month in the new LO Iron chef of Scenery Challenge! Heres how its going to work

1)Each challenge will be decided by the users of the scenery forum. Vote on what you would like to see above and after a week of voting me and Shonuff will pick the winner.

2) Once a theme is picked a size restriction will be decided on between the two of us.

3) All scenery built for the theme must be scratch built with only bitz being used for details. No pre made complete models can be used.

4) As progress is made on the scenery a "How to Artical" will have to be maitained with weekly updates, pictures, and insturctions on how to replicate what is being built.

5)When both pieces of scenery are complete or the due date is reached a new thread will be opened with a voting place. The winner of the challenge will be decided on again by the users of the Forum.

Hope you like the idea and vote above. Stay tuned for more details and post any questions below.

ARRRGH! IRON CHEF SCENERY BEGINS....

Essentially what we're looking for is a way to help those who post " help me with this scenery" or " anyone know where I can get scenery cheap?" we want to have this contest of sorts as a multi use thread.

1. Two people will make new scenery.
2. Everyone who checks the thread will have a step-by-step on how to make the same scenery, and might pick up hints or tricks to make their own.
3. It'll give props to those who battle in the Iron Chef Scenery and show off good scenery. (maybe convince Duane to put it in the Scenery of the day thread for the winner)
4. give the scenery makers a way to give to the community by even putting the scenery up for sale on the LO trade page.

Gaunt and I are going to do battle first to lay the ground work and workout the bugs, then if someone else is feeling frisky, you can challenge someone lse, or two can enter one can leave. (thunderdome scenery anyone?)

So you all vote, and we'll make what you want to see. remember, all my scenery will go up for free to the first person who Pms me after each contest, so pick something you may want.. (e.g. I will make scenery for FREE) unless of course i blow 40.00 in bits making it awesome...then i might have to sell it to make back my bits.

but come on, vote! tell us what you want to see made.

Awww... I thought you were going to be making a replica Iron Chef arena for armies to duke it out in... Still an awesome idea, though!

Hmmm... what to vote for...

Make the first challange the set of Iron Chef, I got really excited when I read the title... but then I got excited in a different way, cause it was'nt Iron chef but still some awsome scenery.

I'm heavily for orks and nid scenery cos its hard to find specialist pieces, Industrial scenery I've got no idea what to do and it would probably take some sort of skills which I don't have.

I would like to be part of the actual competition with you and guant, I have heaps of spare time and I'm a loner most of the day and I got lots of good ideas (I think so).

What better to fight to the death in a Heavy Industrial scenery? I could think of a better one... a Heavy Industrial scenery on an Ice World!

Not bad.
Sure Duane, we can do a three way tussle.
Then once we do the first three way, we can get someone else to challenge one of us three (maybe the winner of our contest).

Snow covered industrial complex? wow..and here's me without snow flocking.

Maybe get -t in on this, sticky this, or whatever. dunno how they feel on that sort of thing.

"And now, I say unto you, in the words of my beloved uncle...

A LA CUISINE!"

Aw, come on. Don't look at me like that. Somebody had to say it. You were all thinking it.
