I tried to tell them to wait, but they needed a secret ingredient. So I gave them one, toothpicks. I hope it wasn't totally lame, but I can see how using that many could inspire people to come up with something creative.

edit: David's point about sigs etc is a very good one, most people on LO don't frequently visit the Scenery forums, so it's definately worth advertising yourself outside (through sigs/profiles/etc), to get a few more people watching and/or participating...

Smart thinking. When I had the idea, I only thought about wooden ones, but you're right. Flats, rounds, plastics. Little umbrellas. There are lots of toothpicks in the world.

Living in Japan (where service is King and the environment takes a back seat), as i'm lucky enough to do, at least for the next 2 months (18 months goes by so quickly, you have no idea) there are a plethora of things that are all but unseen elsewhere.

If we go by the definition that a toothpick is not necessarily for the picking of teeth as the name would imply, but also for impaling small bits of food upon them, so as not to soil the fingers, there are legion!

One in particular is the little plastic pokey stick that comes with pre-cut pineapple that resembles a trident with the middle prong missing, or a man-catcher. Lends itself really well to the chaosy/dark eldar feel but i'm sure it will make an appearance.

You may well even see the pokey sticks designed for bento box lunches make an appearance. They will be disguised but i'm sure those in the know will spot them. Possibly masquerading as one of Gorks cousins..... twice removed.. or something. Or possibly Tzeench inspired... "Just as planned"

when is the actual starting date for this? is it too late to enter? I really want to make an ork building but I figured why not share it with everyone else, but painting will have to wait, can I enter on building grounds only? my painting would only detract from my score anyway.
