Hey, this might sound like a really stupid question but i just bought the Grey Knight Brother Captain Stern model from GW and unpacked it to find this black base without the usual "slot" thing or even a few holes in which to put attach the figure with.

The actual Stern model is metal and at the base of his right foot there is a meaty looking stud coming out which im sure slots in somewhere but only the base is solid on top with scattered holes on the bottom which Stern's "foot stud" fits in but surely u dont turn the base upside down??

Do i have to drill a hole or just chop off the foot stud and glue him straight onto the base using the soles of his boots?

Guh please help cause i need to get him going soon!

    Thanx.

Nope, you don't turn the base upside down or file off the stud. Position Stern on the smooth surface of the base, then find the hole nearest the stud. Drill out the hole. Plug in stern. If you goof, fill the hole with green stuff and try again.

Dont sppose anyone could possibly post any pictures of their completed model front AND back cause all i got to go on is that tiny GW shot that most sites pillage to advertise with, which is way too small....
    Thanx.

That is how all large sized Warhammer 40k models come. You are required to either file/cut off the stump or drill a hole. I always drill a hole however, that's the general idea.

If you dont have a drill to hand you can usualy just push the studd straight through the bass into one of the wholes underneith.
