That's fair enough, I hate having a job, but I have to admit the money's handy.

I figured a vent shaft would be a good idea for underneath the mines as I've done a fair bit of research and even hired a book on gold mining to get as many ideas together in one place as I can.
The layout of the table is this.
I think for the moment it looks fairly balanced but I will be making a fair amount of smaller, cover-sized pieces for advancing troops to cower behind, or charge out from. Depending if you iz weedy or not.
And just another shot to show a different side is all.
NOTE: the big blue piece under the right side is what the rest of the table will have eventually, I just need to get the money together to buy the foam and then I can start gluing all this stuff down![]()
man I still can't wait to see this board get finished, looking great

Layer Cake FTW!!!
Thanks guys!
I've done a little cutting on the foam and in my thumb today and this is where I ended up...
After some mediocre thought processing, I decided that I will make a very small few buildings... if I can keep momentum going and they will be near the greeting corner of the table away from the production side of things.
I still want to make a much bigger and taller water tank, maybe a rhino chassis that I have lying around?
I ain't had the time to figure out how the fan will work, I may even take out that whole section up the top and work from there.
Good to see you back working in this, looking good!
I have some old PC fans, I think that the 2 wire ones will be the easiest for you to get going. They are 12 volts, my small 50mm diameter one will run of 3 AA bateries 4.5 vdc, runs so fast that the blades are a blur, it wont run on 3 volts. A bigger 80mm fan will run slowly on 3 volts, slow enough that you can see the blades and looks good, like a slowish ventilation fan, it does need a manual flick to get started.
The 3 wire fans need a control signal to set the speed, I dont know how slow you can get them to go, I do have a circuit diagram somewhere that uses a 555 or 556 timer IC that is readily available from Dick Smith if you are interested.
Bugbait out
I have a few fans lying around that do the trick just fine, I just need the time now to actually get them wired upPics tomorrow hopefully.
