Anyone know of large chain or franchise place that sells the stuff? I've looked all over and all searches have been fruitless.

Check out your home depot type stores, thats where I get mine.

Yeppers Home Depot is your friend, i'm actully building not a full table but a table top extender, home depot can also have latches and plywood as well as different thickness of pink insulation foam for all your needs

Location does have a lot to do with the availability. I've called every home improvement store and building supplier in a 50 mile radius and have not been able to find a source. I have been told many times that I could have it shipped, but would have to purchase at least a pallet. The colder your location is, the more available (and thicker) extruded styrofoam will be.

Hey, i'd need a hint, i've been looking all over for the stuff, as well as polystyrene sheets and such.

All i've found are horribly overpriced stuff at import-companies.

I can't find it anywhere in the UK, and I ask in every GW store I go in incase they know (and thats been a lot).

Well right off, in the U.S. the pink foam is sold in Home Depots, and the Blue foam is sold in Lowes.

As for who actually makes it.
THe pink foam is made by DOW CORNING.
