    Iron Chef VI: Parthenon

NOTE: This is no longer for Iron Chef. I will still eventually make this and try to update it, but I will be making something else (oil pipeline) instead.

I did not have any toilet paper rolls lying around the house, so I cut down rolls from wrapping paper and saran-wrap/wax paper instead. I hope no one objects, I am trying to go with the spirit of the secret ingredient if not the letter. Anyway, I want something like the Parthenon of Greece, with lots of pillars but a 40k feel.

I sanded the rolls after cutting them and the white circle is from a Parmesan container. Also, the cardboard is from a computer package, but another way to make a textured/tiled floor can be seen in here: http://www.librarium-online.com/foru...lding-wip.html Nothing is glued yet, this is just a general idea of what I want to accomplish. This is what I have so far.

Like the idea and I think using any carboard tube of similar size would be OK.

I think it needs to be

    BIGGER

    BIGGER
    BIGGER!

Great start mate, can't wait to see more. I think the idea is a really good one with bags of potential.

but the problem with that is that then it would not fit within the size restrictions. Also, I want to be able to use it alongside my other building (linked in previous post) and if it is too big, then most of the board will be taken up by two buildings... However, if you guys think it would look much better bigger, this is how much bigger I can make it (to fit sizes, I would have to make something else for iron chef though...)

Do like the new size, but if you have to go small to fit the rules then thats cool.
So the original size is 6 x 12? doesnt look that big.

Why can't he make something 9"x8" or smaller? it's the same number of square inches as 6x12, so maybe you can ask Sho to change the rules?

okay i don't know what it is why people don't read the rules entirely..
    *SIGH*
    2. Scenery must be made within the size min/max numbers. at the beginning of each competition, there will be minimum and maximum size for the scenery.
This competition's size range is: 2''x4'' up to 6''x12''.

    So, you can make is
    2''x2''
    2'' x 11.754''
    3.75'' x 9.76321134450''
    9''x4''
    5.5''x7.5''
    11.9574'' x 4.25''
    ANYTHING IN THE RANGE.

why is it people immediately see numbers and think "nothing other than min or max

the word RANGE says you can do any combination/number size within those two numbers!!

this is like the third time...i might have to clarify the rules.. i didn'tthink it needed to be THAT explanitory...
    Sho: out.

Rome wasn't built in a day, Either should good scenery.
