There has been interest in resurrecting this scenery competition once more. I would like to gague how much before we go ahead, there isn't anything worse than having a fun project like this die on its feet. But first people might need a little bit of information as to what the Iron Chef contests are all about. If you have been on the forum for long enough you will see that we have a long running series of miniature painting contests (now going to be designated with the abbreviation of [LOPC] for future reference), and once upon a time we had something similar for the scenery forum. The contest runs for a period of time in which you build and paint a piece of scenery to fit in with a previously chosen theme. At the end they go into a thread and a winner is voted for by the members.
In itself, nothing special. However, where the Iron Chef name comes from, and how it differs from the painting contest is this: you get given an 'ingredient'. This ingredient is selected by the previous winner of the event, and MUST be included in the making of the scenery. In the past, the ingredient has been a material - e.g. plastic bottle, cardboard toilet roll.
So, now everyone knows what it is, here is the point of the thread.
Do people want it?
How would you like the ingredient to be used? Ie, rather than a type of material, it could be something to include: ie tower. Or wheels etc.
How long do you think each 'round' needs to run for?
Kuffy
