Hmmm I see.
Sort of the real thing eh?

Well at least for now I have access to some feet of Forgeworld razorwire, so I think I'll use that first, and just try the "optional" stuff later.
I'll try out the wire mesh idea soon, I'll post a pic when I'm done.

Well not really, if you want to get it to look like the real deal (older barbed wire) you have to twist 2 lengths of the copper together, because real barbed wire isn't just a single line, it's double, at least all the stuff I've handled has been (grew up on a farm by the way)

Hmmm I nkow perfectly well what you mean, grew up with parts of my first years...ok I'm at the place virtually every other weekend...
Anyway the place is virtually surrounded by old german barbed wire from WW2.
So I quite well know what you mean.
But other than that I would have to say I like the wire you find around big naional prisons. Those big coils that often are several rolls stacked together.

Ah yes concertina wire, aka razorwire, double edged wiring where the wire is the cutting mechanism itself.

Yeah that's the stuff!
It almost makes you wanna roll around in the stuff and...why are poeple looking at me now??

*cough, cough*

About the german style, have you ever seen that?
Think of regular barbed wire.
Now, tripple the amount of spikes per feet and you can imagine what the stuff looks like.

Anyway the topic starter also mentioned I-beams.
Got any good ideas there?
I would say go for broken up parts of old plastic model sprues.
I've even tried once to make I-beams out of smakk pieces of aluminum and galivanized steel.
It doesn't look 100%, but if should do.

Well the I-beam beach obsticals were already answered using curved plastic or 90 degree plastic made into tank traps. But if you can't find it, you could do it the quasi-legal way... okay so totally illegal way and raid a construction site for some scrap iron.

Not that I'm condoning that sort of action or anything, but if you were, and I'm not saying you should... or saying I've ever done anything at all related to this, defiantely go at night, pick an area that isn't populated, and don't wear black or white, go for greens or browns or greys, black although it's dark, you stick out like a sore thumb in an empty field... get something to cover your face, probably a balaclava (sorta like a ski-mask) and go slow, low, and quiet... stay ducked down or behind objects whenever possible whichever is more comfortable, move slowly, and for gods sakes be quiet, don't step in dry leaves, glass, water, ice, stay on grass, or dirt.

Oooookaaaay....
And do you think there is anythong else we need to know about you before we continue?
No offence man... just seems like you have experience in that area.
I know quite well what you mean... have been doing the stuff myself when I and a couple of friends raided a construction site for materials for out treehouse a few years ago...

Anyway...
I also think there should be some rather nice looking lenghts of angleled wood avalible.
Just get the correct size of that, cut it into pieces and voila... you got the big empanada.

Sure if you want to know more here's the story...

Well I've always lived a quasi-legal life, I've broken all but 1 commandment, you can guess which one it is, I've never been caught commiting a crime, though I have come close, none have been too bad, just enough to get a week or two in jail or a heafty fine. I've been trained to use explosives, rifles, pistols, shotguns, throwing knives, throwing axes, shuriken, katanas, quarter-staff's, short swords, rapiers, flails, maces, crossbows, bows, axes, and 3 forms of martial arts, namely aikido, kung fu, and ninjitsu, though I never attained a master rank, I'm still good enough to be afraid of what I'd do to someone if I ever have to use it.

I'm also quite intelligent, at the age of 13 I created the first UAV (Unmaned Air Vehicle) which I submitted for patent but was "lost in the mail" and modified to the current designs used by the military. I also concieved of the stealth missile, and designed that as well at about 15, submitted it to the military, and it was also "lost in the mail" I am also teaming up with an acquaintence to design a particle beam, as well as a disrupter, which the military are currently developing and won't be finished for 4 years, when we could build both in 2.

Every few weeks I'll be sitting around doing something and then out of the blue I'll bust out a sheet of paper, and draw up some freaky wierd new invention, but they usually end up being burned because of what they could do.

Like a bullet that could be made to fit any caliber round that is armor piercing and cost effective. A landmine that would cost 25 cents to produce. An incindeary grenade that would cost about $3 to produce. A thermal targeting system for use in a visual/weapon combination also with zoom functions to take out targets at roughly 800 yards. A mortar round that is completely silent and has a range of roughly 2 miles. A mask that functions as a gas mask and a stimulant breather. A fighter jet based gattling gun that will throw out roughly 125,000 rounds a minute and weigh only 10 lbs unloaded (35 lbs loaded). A tank based railgun that would hurl "frisbees of death". A mass driver that can use anything as a bullet. A ramjet that fires "jet engine" based projectiles at roughly mach 1, with a serious range, I still haven't been able to precisely calculate it, but it's at least 5 miles.

And just think through all of it I've been able to keep steady girlfriends, with time to spare, just very hectic, it's one of the reasons I developed insomnia...

Sounds very interesting...

For myself I have trained sniper skill for 10 years.
Training with katanas, quarterstaffs, shortswords, two swords, naginata.
I do a serious amount of paintball.
Explosives are my life... simple as that...
I do quite abit of electronic and mechanical work on my spare time, mostly aircraft related.

But...
*cough, cough*
Should we get on to subject again, seems like we went of track there.
How about the plastic sprues that come with plastic models, could they work fine as beams?
