A wonderful tutorial!

I've been wanting to do some rocks for a snow type terrain for a while now. This should be helpful in reaching that goal!

If your willing to pay for shipping I do commissions all the time. In fact my current commission is building a Warhound titan for someone at the local hobby for $80 plus painting costs. So yeah I can paint them or you cna wait till my tutoral comes out. PM if your serious about commissions

Totally awsome mate, always wanted rocks for my table! I am thinking of doing large canyon walls/cliffs on the short sides of my board. You look like a knowlagable person, any ideas?

Thanks

Well my friend youve come to the right place/person. This will use the same concept discussed in the tutorial, but on a larger scale. First thingi to get some 2'' thick insulation foam. Then cut a large piece as wide as the table edge. Cut and glue(use hot glue and white glue, I find these two together are the best at holding foam together) additional tiers of foam on top of the base piece making sure that the higher tiers are less wide then the bottom piece. Once you have the desired hieght and girth start carving away! The skys the limit with this one as you can carve the way I showed to make rocks or use matches and a lighter to melt holes and pockets into the foam to resemble a volcanic death world. The attached link shows something I did with that style. http://www.librarium-online.com/foru...mano-mano.html (Vote for me!)

*To add strenght to the foam you could always pin the pieces of foam together with wooden BBQ skewers. Ill post a pices or two of foam/rock spires Ive built useing the method, you just have to do it on a larger scale.

WEll pink foam(insulation foam as called in the industry) is sold in 2'x8' sheets in america at most large home improvement and hardware stores. As for where you can find it aboard i'm not sure, especially not in a warm country like yours. Like I said though I might start selling the squares of the foam, first need to see how much it costs to ship. Hope that helps and good luck on your quest,

Fox
