Snapfire and nerfed FnP is going to be a problem for Celestine/repentia/death cultists, mech sisters are badly hit by hull points/vector strikes, combi-plasmas are no longer effective anti-fnp weapons ... it's going to take a miracle in the new rulebook to bring the up to scratch.

Sorry to be so negative but Sisters just don't have the options to go in a different direction - they have one playstyle and if it dies, they die with it.

I think the best thing to do for us sisters players is to not think about the new edition until it is right there in front of us. That way no hopes will have been raised and we may all be pleasantly surprised by one or two things.

Also these new rumours could mean the Canoness is in again . . . . . . as the cheapest HQ unit so we can scrounge every single point we can for the rest of our army.

im hoping that the rumors were true and that the sisters codex is supposed to be coming out at about the same time as the 6th edition rule book. otherwise we may be shelved until we get a true dex.

Just about every army has been rumoured to be released with 6th ed over the past year or so.

So, apparently Rage has been replaced with a flat +2 attacks on the charge. Does this make PEs and Repentia worth looking at?

Other changes point to why Immolators lost their Fast profile with their Flamers. It was redundant because you can more 12" and fire anyway, now.

Powerswords are AP3 and Chainfists are AP2, which now adds +1 on the vehicle damage roll, which is now only rolled on a pen.

AP1 now adds +2 to the damage roll, which pretty much solidifies Exorcists in the Heavy Support slot for us, unless 'Crons make vehicles stop being a thing in the meta.

Heavy Weapons can now be fired on the move with at BS1 (snapfire) as well as Overwatch and disembarking from a transport that moved at all is done with Snapshot.

Apparently at 2000 points your FoC doubles.

All casualties are removed from the closest models and back. This makes things weird for Special Weapons who are likely to just tank it and die to incoming fire.

Pile in moves are made at the model's place in initiative. I think this is a plus for Low I armies like ours.

Characters get a 4+ Look out Sir rule within 6" of another unit. ICs get 2+ and squad leaders count as characters. This applies to close combat apparently.

There are two mission types that count either Fast or Heavy as scoring units, which means a squad or more of Retributers should be considered. This isn't a problem for FA because it's easily our best slot.

    No.
Repentia are down to 5+ saves and taking snap fire on the charge, you'll lose a couple from the overwatch and a couple more from combat leaving you with less attacks than in 5th ed, to say nothing of their reduced durability against shooting and greater odds of their transport blowing up and killing them.

Penitent engines are going to trip over their own feet and explode.

Significantly hampers death cultists and celestine, though at least celestine has a 2+.
Reduced FnP on the cultists combined with snapfire and rumoured init 10 attacks from various sources put them and celestine at significant risk of getting mugged.

Also renders sisters unable to deal with heavy armour outside of melta range - the most an exorcist can do to a russ or landraider is scratch the paint. Does not combine well with more vulnerable transports and the reduced effectiveness of rhino rush melta.

If the rumours hold up the sisters are screwed. Totally utterly screwed.

Everything that I've posted has been confirmed by someone with a rulebook in hand.

Impact hits are from Jump infantry and bikes, at I10 and S of the model with AP-

DCA got hit hard and it seems that Repentia are our only answer to Terminators now. They have a very fair shot against hammer bros, but against anything with shooting, you have to hope for a lack of 6s on their part. Don't forget they do have a 6+ invul they get first, which very slightly increases their odds.

Celestine's nerf to Power weapons and overwatch is bad, but she gets a 2+ Lookout Sir save if there is any friendlies within 6" of her for being an independent character.

Psst, with Jacobus and either Pedro Kantor or an allied chapter banner nearby repentia can get to 6A each on the charge. Plus FnP (while now 5+) is supposedly only ignored by instant death - that is huge for repentia as it lets them slam into things like MC's and terminators and kill them much faster (due to less dying) than currently.
