It's sad but true. If the canoness was better, then there would be no problem. But she gives Melee buffs and only melee buffs in an edition where melee is severely hindered in an army that is quite frankly abysmal in assault.

You are 100% right, but I like SOB army. I play for pure fun
Now Cannones attached to ally unit makes a lot of sense. I`am thinking about 4 ogryns + cannones. when you`re charging it makes 17A S6 I3 + ld10 + stubborn + preffered enemy sounds good

So that also means that quite some armies arent played in Poland? Eg entire Dark Angel codex is obsolete?

No It`s official codex, just special (named? I don`t know if its good word in english) are banned (for most of tournaments)

So You can play DA but as a HQ you`ve to take company master or librarian etc, instead of Azrael

has anyone tried other allies then IG?
Like Space Wolves or Grey Knights?
I was wondering if any of the other allies would be an better choice.
Did anybody try out other allies?

    I personally haven't yet.

But, I'm painting up some metal Grey Knights right now to use this weekend.

Not sure what to roll with though. Probably a Hereticus Inquisitor with a warband, and Terminators in a Stormraven.

I think the big asset here is the Stormraven. One of my roommates is a BA player, and my other roomie is a Tyranids player. The Tyranids roomie has nicknamed the Stormraven the "Rape-raven."

"He who flies wins," in these parts. I'd imagine it's much the same in other local metas.

So on topic, I would think Grey Knights would make decent allies for the CC fear they strike in the opponents (something Sisters do the exact opposite of), their durability (T4 is legit compared to our gals), and most importantly, you can get a flyer with them - maybe the best flyer around as of right now.

What I'll end up doing this weekend is probably a pretty lame set up, allies wise. I'd imagine Sisters could do some great things with the Daemonhunters by their side.

I'll definitely be experimenting a lot with GK/Inquisitorial Warband allied detachments with my Sisters.

    The Inquisition is BACK, baby!

"he who flies wins".... or "what goes up, must come down"

Flyers seem to be less popular around here when i start bringing that defense line and allied marines Whirlwind Hyperios to the table.

    @Kobes
To bad most players, (me included) don`t allow forgeworld models
So an Whirlwind Hyperios won`t be an option, but i do take that defence line most of times now(above 1000 points)

These days forgeworld is pretty much the same as chapter approved, but with a price tag. They even make a point of marking out which units are official 40k updates.

Of course it's questionable how much (if any) playtesting goes into these units, the 'experimental rules' are often unbalanced to help sell models, and bringing forgeworld in means that some players get one or two new units while others get dozens. I think expecting balance and parity went out the window for sisters players with the pamplet dex though.
