The search function: Does it work?

I have tried to search for threads on topics that I know there are threads for and I am getting no where.

My problem is this Four Letter Limit, if any word has less your search is rejected. So say you wanted to find where a thread someone had mentioned was, you know the thread was called "The New Awesome People" well your outa’ luck because both The and New are less than 4 letters long. Also very annoying; 40K, a common operator in thread names is, oops, 3 letters.

My question is can this utility be made more functional? Everyone (especially the mods) tells me to use the search function but if it doesn’t work...

I didn't realise that it had a limit on letters in a word, I was searching the other day for 'ard boyz and no matter how i changed it, it never worked. I just figured i was doing something wrong, and now i know what it is but i want to see ard boy posts
