Iron Chef Scenery Competition Suggestions to our Admins

As a representative of the ‘Scenery’ forum I am here to inquire about gaining some additional promotional material to help our competition gain certain ‘Advantages’ in the Librarium Online community.

I understand that there must be a lot on your plate as admins; however I believe that our ideas would benefit both the Scenery section of the forums and Librarium Online as a whole.

As recently discussed in the Scenery forum (found HERE) we would like to expand our competition entitled ‘Iron Chef Scenery’ and hopefully gain our small corner of the forum some deserved popularity. The rules for the competition and the results as well as the current competition can be found in the stickied part of the scenery forum.

And so it is that we request dedicated forum ‘badges’, like the ‘veteran’ or ‘subscriber’ badge and a Link on the index page of Librarium Online leading to our competitions main page.

Having these two things would promote scenery making as a whole, as I feel it is just as important in Warhammer as is collecting the models. As Librarium Online is one of the most influential miniatures gaming and collecting forums on the internet, Scenery crafting would gain some much needed popularity in the community.

We hope that this will increase the number of people interested in Scenery crafting thus gaining more entrants into the competition, helping inspire people to fill their gaming boards with difficult terrain, impassable terrain and more!

We understand that this is a fairly large thing to ask, and the Scenery forum is only small, however with adequate promotion I believe that Iron Chef Scenery and the Scenery forum would positively benefit, helping us expand our competition into something much greater.

Nice idea, although a badge probably isnt the best way to go about recruiting, as many people dont know what they mean or how to get them.

If its recruiting you want, then id suggest a few things:

- Make a picture or put some text in your Sig, linked to ICS

- Make a social group. Get this up to 10 members and you can make your own social forum

- The index link is a good idea, if the boss will allow it (im sure he will )


I myself will be on the lookout for taking part in one or more over summer, i wanted to before but have been busy.

Man! you freaky scenery people want it all now don't ya?

Kidding aside, I have already set up a social group for the iron chef scenery and as our latest (more recent) update to LO with the useful and often-overlooked tabs at the top of the forum. Not too many people know they are there to go see the social group forum and join up.

I believe what Guant was trying to ask, was for more visibility for our group, as signatures and social groups only get us so far.

Not being argumentative, but trying to clarify and let know some of your suggestions have been done already.
