Reputation, when and where to use it?

I am a newbie here, this morning I noticed I had 2 rep, I know this is a good thing, but I guess I don't know why. So I am asking you, the senior members of this forum, what is rep good for, where and when should it be used??

I know when you get help for an issue you should rep the person that assisted, but should rep be given out for really good fluff? good conversions or painted, well thought up ad themed army lists?

I want to give rep where it is due but I would like to know what those situations are so I do not abuse it.

And if there is a forum topic on this already I apologize for starting a new one, I glanced over them and didn't find anything that caught me on this subject.

Any time you find the post useful (Even if it isnt to you, but would be if you were in that position), Like what they have written (Good fluff, made you laugh etc.) or just generally enjoyed reading that post, then reputation should be given.

Reputation is there to show that person is a good member of the community, they dont have to know everyting about warhammer and answer all questions... They could just in general be a nice guy (Like me!! ^^)

Also a thing to take into account is your rep power. With your amount of 1 you can rep everything that you think deserves rep. But if you start gaining more rep, and get a power like mine or higher, then you need to think abit more about if the post deserves 10 + rep.
