Welcome to Librarium Online!
So first and foremost, here is my army list:
-Upgraded Energy Condenser-10pts
-Bands of Power-25pts
-2x Add. Warpstone Tokens-20pts
-Upgraded Energy Condender-10pts
-Bands of Power-25pts
-Extra Hand Weapons-40pts
This is my prototype list. I am a fairly new player, and this is an army I would like to assemble. If there is one thing that I really like about this list, it is that it exemplifies the horde flavor of Skaven. I am also a huge fan of the tools Skaven have at their disposal.
The original concept for this army was the idea of causing utter confusion in my opponents ranks. I started with a 1k army list to see how it would work. Basically, the method I came up with was to get my Clanslaves up the front lines, and advance my army behind them. Jezzails would serve to pick large targets and to pummle small units of elite troops. The Warlightning Cannons I figured would provide enough devastation/entertainment (you gotta love the miscasts), that it could potentially mess with the front, or target essential units in the backfield. Where the real fun is with my Plague Monks, and Stormvermin. My idea for a quick effective win condition was to fish out as many dispel scrolls and dispel dice using warplightning from my engineers. Then, when all is safe, use the Bands of Power binding Skitterlead and drop a unit of Plague Monks with a total of 16 attacks in the front rank and Stormvermin/Clanrats with Rattling Gun and spears in my opponents backfield, and swarm over their precious, protected units (or hit pesky engagued units in the flank/rear).
I have a total of 50pts left over to use. I have been debating on using the points on Globadiers, but I'm trying not to make it a full on Skyre army. I would love to find a way to fit in some Eshin units here, just because tunneling is (in my opinion) just hilarious, and it goes with the whole theme of my army really well. I was thinking about dropping one Cannon, and putting in a Gutter Runner tunneling team.
So I am not sure how viable or fair people would consider this army. In all honesty, when I made this list, I had never heard of SAD before, and it was not my intention to go with an army that wins the vast majority of the time; I just want something with some thought, complexity in tactics, and use of a verity of rules to help get me started...and of course would be really fun to play.
So please, if anyone has any suggestions, it is very much appreciated.
Thanks very much everyone,
