    1000 pts for tournament

    Next tuesday, I have a 1000 pts Warhammer tournament in a local store that I visit and after not having played for several months, decided that it might be a nice thing to pick up some games again. The problem in that however, is that some of the armies present (Vampire Counts, Wood Elves, Dark Elves) are the ones I haven't faced in many, many years. So, a little feedback on my list would be nice.

    Chieftain, heavy armour, weeping blade, shield
    Warlock Engineer, UWEC, warp-blades, storm daemon, dispel scroll
    24 Clanrats, musician, standard, ratling gun
    24 Clanrats, musician, standard, ratling gun
    21 Slaves, musician
    4 Poison Wind Globadiers
    6 Warplock Jezzails
    5 Tunnel Runners, poisoned handweapons
    Warp-Lightning Cannon

    That makes for 89 models, 6 units to deploy (excluding characters and the tunnel runners) in a little under a thousand points.

    Would this be feasible against the armies mentioned?

    Hi vinc.

    I think your 1000pts army looks really good and versalite.
    Lets go through it quickly

    Chieftain, heavy armour, weeping blade, shield
    - a nice killer for your clan rat unit.. good choice so you have some Ld against fear(VC, cold one knights, dryads,etc )
    Warlock Engineer, UWEC, warp-blades, storm daemon, dispel scroll
    - some nasty magic is always good. Why not the SWPA? It will boost your magic to the limit and for a decent price!
    24 Clanrats, musician, standard, ratling gun
    - nice size for a 1000pts game, and lovely with some eeevil shooting that kan reduce enemy numbers, so you DO outnumber them!

    21 Slaves, musician
    - of course, these have to be here! Nice for some baiting, etc - you know the drill
    4 Poison Wind Globadiers
    - good choice against heavy armoured knights, which you might have problems with otherwise
    6 Warplock Jezzails,
    - maybe 1 more? Just for maxing out.
    5 Tunnel Runners, poisoned handweapons
    - oooh, these can be fun if you can take out the hiding vampire Great for suprise element too!
    Warp-Lightning Cannon
    - yeeeaaarrh! always the cannon. Mean, Green (warpstone), killingmachine! get the slaves to tie up knights, so their flank is angled perfectly for a nice shot

    That is all- looks all in all very decent.
    I thought of maybe a unit of night runners - skirmish is nice or maybe a BSB with stormbanner against the shooting? (although this will trouble the character choosing)
