I would strongly suggest at 1K to not boast the plague monk units size, add the banner, and add a unit of slaves. Slaves are essential to skaven who cannot win combat by doing wounds... but can win combat by resolution IE +3 ranks, +1 bannter, +1 outnumber, +1 Flank if you got it, starting res of +6 aint to shabby. Slaves work wonderful for this as they are cheap, expendible, and it really pisses off opponents who have massive frenzied units and they have to chase a 40 pt block of slaves around the board while you ratling gun it.
