Hey all, I am playing a friendly game once or twice a week with some buddies and I put together this 2000 point army. I am trying not to use proxies, just so I can see how useful the units I currently have are. here is what I have so far:
Grey Seer: foul pendant (270 points)
Warlord: War litter, weeping blades, Talisman of endurance, crown of command (223)
Death Master Snitch: (270)
Chieftan: BSB (72)
Warlock Engineer: Level 1 mage, doom rocket (95)
Warlock engineer: Death globe (40)
Clanrats 40 (full command and shields with an attatched rattling gun)
Clanrats 40 (full command, shields, warpfire thrower)
Slaves 20 (naked)
slaves 20 (naked)
plague monks: 20 (full command, plague banner)
Rat ogres: 2 ogres (1 master bred), skweel gnawtooth,
Ok, so it puts me at 1953 for points....any suggestions? I also have Thanqual and boneripper for lords, if that would work better. Any suggestions are welcome (constructive criticism, please)!!
Personaly, i find the doomrocket near useless, keep him at lv.1 and give him the warp energy condenser (think you will get more joy from him) and the death globe dude is a one trick pony...
Like your core, simple but effective no, (might want to throw in spears however)
I would like to pass a comment on skweel but I have never used him, I think that you should loose him and gain two more rat ogres maybe, might be more effective.
On Thanqual and boneripper... leave them at home :p
On the rat ogres - that's a 203 point unit of lots-of-dying-quickly.
I get that it's probably the cool minis for it, but ooh that's not effective. you kinda want to add 5 rat ogres and a pair of packmasters to wield that, (+216 points) but squeel in ogres isn't really for me (giant rats - yes, ogres - no)
the doomrocket is - um - questionable, but i say that as someone who fields one (it's fun, and as a laugh it's also stand and shoot - min 4 dice though)
I'd give the slaves musicians, I disapprove of spears being added anywhere, The core are solid, I'd try to increase the plague monks a bit though (20 = bad. 1 casualty = loss of a rank and LD as well as CR. Not like you have good saves on them.)
Oh, and warplock pistols on the engineers (2nd hand weapon and stand and shoot / etc for peanuts. It comes off their unit entry, not magical and scavenge total too. Oh, and a tail weapon on the warlord)
