New to Skaven - 500 point starter list

    Hello

I have just started playing fantasy and i couldn't resist skaven. As to hopefully not overwhelmourselves me and a couple of friends have decided to start small and build up from there. So here is my first 500 point Skaven list.

    Heroes

    Warlock Engineer
    Level 1
    Warp Energy Condensor

    Core
    Clanrats x39
    Spears
    Shields

    Clanrats x20
    Shields

    Special
    Gutter Runners x7
    Slings
    Poison

    Total 496

I am hoping to use this as the basis of my growing army.

The Warlock will go in the bigger clanrat unit.

I would apprieciate any comments or tips you might have but for the moment i only have the contents of the IoB boxset, along with 20 addition clanrats and 20 night runner/gutter runner models.

    Thanks in advance

Hey, welcome to Librarium online and welcome to skaven

I like your list, very good, LOVE THE WARP CONDENSER!! Possibly try to upgrade the warlock to lvl 2, so he can cast more spells, people generally(some a mix of both, or have a weirdly entertaining armies/ clan focoused) focus on two different builds...

    - combat armies, fighting hand to hand, with our numbers we hope to win.

    OR

    - range armies, using cannons, ratling guns, plague wind mortars, catapults and magic to hammer the enemy and slowing their advance with doomwheels and slaves. This tactic is more competative, as we have some really neat units and spells

im not very good at warhammer, so i'll leave it up to more experianced members but hope this helps, best of luck
