Welcome to Librarium Online!
Well, I feel special, being the only thread in the Skaven forum.
Anyways, I have this urge to make a rediculous SAD army, but I'm trying to control myself. For anyone else that plays a Skyre Heavy list, how much do your opponents hate you after every match?

"I am the architect of fate!"
That list lost a lot of power in 7th edition due weapons teams being able to be picked out as separate targets (unless i've missed a FAQ that says otherwise).
Against an army with decent enough shooting, you'll have trouble keeping your weapons teams alive long enough to really do damage. With Flyers or things that come up from the back of the table edge, you'll have REAL trouble with the lightning cannon (friend of mine tried Skaven SAD, turns out as long as the thing is charged, the crew run and the cannon is destroyed, no combat necessary).
All that being said, it tends to mitigate the problem with friends not wanting to play this army anymore. You do have to rely on more than one trick though, as shooting most likely won't actually see you through the game.
I'd rather face two lightning cannons that jezzails. Ratling guns aren't such an issue for reasons already stated, but those jezzails, they can ruin your day quickly. The cannons are relatively easy to get rid of except when they're placed all sneaky in the woods or some such.
I play a SAD-esque army. They truly put a real hurting on things that march across the field, but armies with a decent amount of shooting can be pretty difficult. Ratlings get picked off, Jezzails can't pass a panic check because they have no ranks, and nothing in the Skaven army book can really fight. And Thorek just beats it without some luck. Even still, though, it's a very strong army.
As for how opponent's feel about it, it really depends on the person. Where I play, we're all pretty competitive, so we don't mind "cheesy" lists as it just means it's going to be a hard fought game. And we like to play tough games more than hand-holding stuff. There are some, though, that don't like that.
Rather than indulge in the usual rant about Skryre (cos I'm actually raising a Skryre army myself), I would find it more helpful to know why you're attracted to the clan, & why you feel that you need to hold back (and develop a dialog from that point).
