I've just watched "Braveheart" again and was really inspired as I was starting, skaven I thought why not use some humans as there slaves, instead of being forced, they were poor locals, warped by the influence of warpstone, so my questions are:
- Would this be a viable idea?
Thankyou in adavance Wolfy09
- Which models to use? My idea would be to use the clansmen of lamedom models, just on square bases (picture below)

1st Combined Regiment. Contains Tallarn,Cadians, Catachans,Valhallan,Attilan,Armageddon Steel Legion and Vostroyan. Most Kills in one turn: 98 space marines and 6 rhinos with only the stompa's Gatla Gun (only that)
A good friend of mine plays Skaven, and thought it was stupid to split his boxes of clan rats into clanrats and cannon fodder slaves. So, he did something like you did, using a massively ecclectic group of models from the fantasy range. Plus, anytime slaves killed a unit that it shouldn't have (in his case a block of white lions of chrace lol) hw would add them too. Its very fluffy and completely viable, if you were taking it to a tourney just make sure to tell teh person that they are slaves and have your list available for their perusing, and you should be hunky dory.

The militia and the Flagelent box sets from empire line are great for human slaves.
Painting: 20 quarrelers
Ya I'm working on several different races as slaves: skinks, goblins, humans, gnoblars, and whatever else I find interesting.
The Tyranid torpedo? Its a giant facehuger cannon. It fires an army of facehugers at the other ships. It should cause fear.
Too expenive for those metal model I think you can jut use empire units ^^
For a quick note, LoTR models aren't sanctioned for Fantasy/40k tournies, and are too small anyway. Te clansmen would look very out of place. Best to use models form all around the fantasy range.
Veni Vidi Variant
I came, I saw, I got a different type of Leman Russ.

Rules for grenades are on page 72 of the rulebook.
I agree with the above post ^.
However, what about zombies as slaves?
As stated it's perfectly legal and viable to use any race as slaves, not just skaven. Lots of people like to convert old armies or find cheap stuff on ebay. The goblins from the fantasy starter box are popular too.
I'd recommend flagellants if you want something that looks great already, but really you can use any model you want. Just make sure to make them look dirty and shoddy when you paint them.
