Grey Seer w/ Dispel Scroll. I find a Ward Save pointless, it won't save him in combat, and I can hide him from Death Magic via moving. Power Scroll is kind of over-powered, but I don't like the chance to lose my General or valuable spells.

Warlock Engineer w/ Warp-Energy Condenser. One of the only two real builds, I find a Doomrocket to do nothing, ever.

Plague priest w/ Plague Furnace and Flail. He needs nothing more, just a CR stick that should be avoiding characters anyways. No censer unless you like killing your own rats.

Chieftain w/ Storm Banner. Amazing shooting denial, which is all he really matters for, oh and keeping the army from ever, ever running.

I don't run Warlords and consider Assassins to be one of the worst things in the book, so no opinions there.

Is it just me or is the feedback scroll sweet?

Also as far as the Power Scroll goes, in my opinion Irresistible force is bad.....the miscast table hurts you in everyway. I understand that the spell cant be dispelled, and that might be the game breaker but still, if it isnt then the consequences can be dire. On the other hand skaven are all about blowing themselves up

A question I have is, in what unit do you run your grey seer in? A clanrat unit? Stormvermin? Alone?

Warlord, Rat Ogre Bonebreaker, Fellblade, Shield.

Just charge anything big and gribbly.

If you were talking to me, he hangs out with 25 Clanrats, along with my BSB. When they start to die, he jumps into the other unit of 25 Clanrats.

It was a general question but thanks for answering! I'll post my choices soon After seeing this post I am really looking deep into each and every item

I'm thinking of running these guys in my Horde army.

Chieftain; BSB, Banner of the Under-Empire. [120 pts]
Warlock Engineer; Level 2 Wizard, Warplock pistol, Death Globe. [133 pts]
Warlock Engineer; Level 2 Wizard, Warplock pistol, Warp-Energy Condenser. [128 pts]
Warlock Engineer; Level 1 Wizard, Warplock pistol, Warlock Optics. [93 pts]
Warlock Engineer; Warplock pistol,Skavenbrew. [73 pts]

Chieftain prevents Slaves and other Skaven from running.
The Warlock wizards takes care of magic and the bottom Warlock drives a Slave horde into frenzy.

I'll try to but 1-2 characters into every unit.

So for Grey Seer I like Shadow Magnet Trinket, Skalm and a dispel scroll
For Warlock engineers, Warp-energy condenser is the way to go, I may consider doomrocket
As for an Assassin, if I'm going to keep him cheap I'll leave him as is, but if I had to pick I'd want to maximize his attacks so maybe a Sword of Strife?
Chieftain is BSB and Storm Banner (even if its only one use)

I run my Grey Seer either naked, with a power scroll, or with a power scroll and skalm. (:

Warlord is in the warlord thread... but the most common used one is war litter, enchanted shield, dawnstone.

I run my warlock engineer with a doomrocket. He's almost (i've only done it once) never a wizard (I don't find a level 1 to be worth it, nor a level 2, when I have my seer kicking about).

Chieftan either with just a halberd, or with the BSB and Storm Banner. Or if the storm banner is elsewhere, then just as the BSB.

Plague priest goes on a furnace with a flail. Sometimes the shadow magnet trinket, I'm liking that 6+ ward save from warmachines item too. That's if I take him at all. The 2 "must have" characters for me are the 45pt engineer with the doomrocket and the grey seer.
