Hello! I am an Empire player, and the list I use includes nothing but State Troops, Artillery, Knights, and Outriders. No Flagellants, no Greatswords, no Steam Tank. I'm playing a Skaven list next week and have no idea what to expect. I know he will use a Lv 4 Grey Seer with a Screaming Bell, lots of Clan Rats, a Plague Priest and Plague Monks, some Doomwheels, Rat Ogres, and Ratling Guns. I'm curious as to what the Screaming Bell and the Doomwheel does, as well as any other helpful hints. Are Cannons successful at taking out the Bell and the Doomwheels?
I feel that even if I could answer your question I would be a traitor to the clan......LOL
but I can't help you anywayz because I know nothing about Empire so, why not ask in the empire forum?
"I'll have a steak and donut sandwich"
"Do you want cigarettes on that?"
"What do I look like? A Mary? Of course I want cigarettes!"
I did lol, but on the Empire forum I'm more looking for what in my army would help me out. Here I am just looking for what the Skaven army does exactly as I've never played them. I have a good idea of what his army will consist of (see above) but I'm not too sure as to what any of it even is....
The Screaming bell makes a unit unbreakable and confers special abilities and the doomwheel rolls around and zzaps thing with lightning.
Cannons are very good at killing doomwheels, in one shot if your lucky or the doomwheel will face a random direction and kill it's own things.
Not much help but seeing as other Skaven are coming for my head now (do doubt) I better scurry away!
Ok, the Doomwheel suffers from Loss of contol: "At the end of any phase in which an unengaged Doomwheel takes a wound, the skaven player must take a loss of contol test" this means it is venerable to missile fire. Anyways so it rolls a D6 on a 1-2 it gets Disaster, on a 3-5 it goes out of control and on a 6 it gets a burst of speed.
So fire at it and make sure he losses at least a wound every turn. A disaster is very nasty, taking D6 str 6 hits.
