I want to use a plague priest in my army but im not to sure what upgrades to give him.
If you suggest a plague furnace then how would recommend i field the monk unit that goes along with it?
It all depends where and what you are going to use it for. It can be a combat priest just as much as it is magic. If you go for magic, it needs some kind of mount, and also magic-benefiting items. If you go for combat, you should give him a plague censer and other equipment too, maybe the warp scroll.
Choice #1 - Plaque censer, great pox rat if you can afford it, within a pack of monks.
Choice #2 - Plague furnace, that one trinket that gives a ward save against war machines for the whole unit, level 2 upgrade, smack in a pack of monks.
For the pack of monks, never take less than 30 or they'll be shot to bits. Full command with the Plague Banner.
I'd go with Bearers too, as they'll get next bonuses with the monks/furnace nearby.
Just my opinions.
