Wasn't sure where else to stick this. hope this is ok for this project.

Thought I'd share these bits of my hallowe'en costume. I am going as a 'casual dressed' Eldar Warlock from the craftworld of Saim-hann.

Here are some pictures of me wearing the completed chassis/chestpeice, which was made using the BACK peice of some roman armor I got from the hobby shop (it was shaped and had no emblem molded onto it. A few snips and it fit my slender form), I made the backplates and pauldrons from plasticard, then used car paint with a bit of sparkle for the color.

Here is the painted symbol of Saim-hann, the sword (Not a true witchblade but eh.). The soulstone didnt turn out as nice... I gave up on trying to blend the paint on such a large smooth surface that I drybrushed it a bit and left the rest up to Natural Lighting.

Tomorrow after work when I fully suit up, I'll get more pics taken of me in it. I intend to wear a red satin gown I have with black braid trim, tie my hair back into a high ponytail and put pointed ears on and black boots.

For warmth I'll be wearing longjons underneath and have my grey cape with me in case it gets nippy. The forecast SAYS it will be 4 degrees C out.

Wow, well done. I was working on a full set of armor from the anime Karas. If you ever do a project like this again, I'd suggest looking into craft-foam methods. Really it makes laminated sets of armor, it can look pretty good for what you're working with.
I was working with fiberglass, but that takes TOO MUCH work!

Good costume you've got there, either way. Was there something going on at the Bunker that had you all dressed up?

Yeah I was thinking that but this did just as well, and it was rather lightweight (If bendy).

No bunker in Calgary, it closed and this store inherited the Marine. They were just having a hallowe'en get together but everyone had already left when I got there after work. just me, a dwarf, the employees and one other customer.

I am glad it turned out nice though! I am pondering seeing about showing up in costume at local competitions just to hang out.
