You will find that Loughton Strike Force exist at the Conservative Club over the road from the police station (if it's still there!). I think it's on the Old Station Road. I used to live there years ago when they were in Debden, but thanks to an old mate working at the Navwar wargamers shop in Seven Kings (the other side of Ilford) I found that they've moved. They're mostly grownup crusty players but I think some GW games of varying degrees are entertained there every sunday from about 1000. Find them here:

An alternative is the Ilford Wargame Group. I haven't seen them in years (since they were at the YMCA in Walthamstow to be precise). They are quite professional players of many GW games, but there are many younger members you could do battle wiith. You can find them here:

I think that's about it for the immediate area. There are groups in Basildon, Colchester, Enfield and Waltham Abbey but I can't remember off the top of my head where. Oh, and don't forget the very good Tanelorn group, here:

Also, did you see this thread? (Harlow Wargames Club)

    Good luck & good hunting.

Give a man a gun and he can rob a bank. Give a man a bank and he can rob the world.
