Welcome to Librarium Online!
Hello. While I don't have an army quite yet I would like to see if anyone is around here so before i can play i can maybe watch a few games? Have a couple friends who would no doubt be interested as well. I live on the Southeast side of Columbus but I don't mind driving a bit to get in some games. I'm always on campus as well.
PM me or Repsond in thread. Thanks8Y
I live on the Northside of Columbus, and regularly go to a shop in Delawars. I am considering another shop called the Guard tower, but I have yet to visit them or check them out.
I am a Fantasy Player and VC at that.
I live in Cincinnati! I realise that's not center Ohio, but i go up to Mansfield alot, which is about an hour from columbus
PM me about Aurora Prime Vassal fights! Willing and ready!
We have 3 shops up in cleveland if u dont mind a little drive. I make it to OSU in about 1.5 hours doin the speed limit. Warzone matrix, recess and gamers haven are the stores/clubs. I've seen probably 20-30 different people between the 3 and everyones pretty regular.
There is also a gaming club in Newark Oh, at Comic shops plus. I recently got back into 40k with my Iron Hands and have been going there. they usually have gaming going on the weekends and have a league night on tuesdays at 5:30 pm which goes up incrementally each quarter starting at 500 pts i believe.
they're site is here CSP Home Page
I live in Columbus and there are three or four shops that people play pretty regularly at.
The first and probably best one is The Guardtower off of Trabue near Upper Arlington. They have tons of different games for sale and more than half of the store is set aside for playing. They have two rooms set up entirely with nothing but tables, chairs, and shelves filled with terrain. They are friendly guys from what I remember and there seems to be a very active group of gamers that go there.
The second is The Soldiery on North High. They have several good tables and a number of different groups that run weekly events, but they have a reputation of being a bit.. annoying? Me and my friends used to go there rather frequently to play 40k and I remember having a very good time there, but there were several instances where we were accused of stealing when we took an item from a bin/shelf back to one of the tables. Their staff seems to be good, but are not always the most friendly. I do have to say, though, that I haven't been back in a while so things may have changed, but I can tell you that I have heard more than one gamer say the exact same things about the Soldiery with in the last few months. They're stock of gaming supplies also was never very current(They still had a NIB Chaos Dwarf doomrocket!), but they had a lot of great deals on pre-built items.
Hobby Land on Sawmill is another store that runs game nights, but it isn't really a 'gaming shop'. There is a 40k Game night on Wensedays that is a lot of fun to go to. There are always a few good players to have games against and the staff members who run it a very very helpful and friendly.
The fourth big shop that I have heard of is Ravenstone Games, but I have never personally been there. I've heard some good things about it, though, so it could be worth checking out.
I personally plan on going to The Guardtower soon to find out what groups are active there in the near future.
I live in Cincinnati as well!
