Basically the aim of this entire thread is for information gathering on an LO 16 player KO toruney I would like to run on the LO meets, OR on a seperate weekend if that is desired.
Really, I just want your thoughts and ideas.
I would rather see this become part of the meet weekend, as a 16 player KO is small but yet big... by that I mean, its a big enough event for the LO meet and small enough to fit in nicely with two rounds per day.
If a bigger one is wanted (IE a more GW, GT standard type) then I think a seperate weekend is probably warrented as I don't think a small 16 player thing would lose anything from the general feel of the meet.
I'd also need to know if a double elimination would be wanted. I.E (If you lose in the winners side, you get entered into the losing side and continue until you lose again)
A double elimination would allow for more games and a further chance to win something, especially for those unfortunate to go out in the first round.
This will be for next year and following years. (I hope to also get plaques and things for winners and runners up)
It cannont happen this year due to the meet being close now as well as the table booking thing.
Another thing I would like you to consider would be cost. WW world offer the ability to have daily meals and a drink token IIRC, and probably still do... though this costs. I don't know how much yet, but if people are willing to pay a small entry fee to the tourney, it would certianly fund feeding all those who entered.
Also, a small fee would be able to pay for bigger and better prizes for the tourney itself (Best painted army/ best sportsman etc) as well as the raffle.
What I would like to know is what you would be willing to pay.
All of it would of course be in the interests of the LO meet, allowing it to grow and continue to be an awesome weekend.
Any feedback and thoughts would be most welcome
Yea man this seem's awesome i really like the idea and i'd be up for putting monies in.
my only problem is that its not happening this year lol D=
Another thing I will point out about the money side of things. After prizes have been bought for both this and the raffle, any extra would go toward the final amount that would go to charity, probably the same one as the LOCs would be giving to... this is of course if LOCs runs next year. If not, I can always post a poll as to which charity the left over raffle and KO money goes to.
I'll definatly be interested in this. Would it be 40k or WHFB?
I wouldnt mind paying a small entrance fee if it helped with the organising etc.

I guess it would be 40k, though thats not set in stone. If the interest is here, I'll put up a poll to see which has more interested peeps.
While running one each wouldn't be a bad idea, I think it would require the meet to be much bigger.
Also, when I next ring GW events to book next years meet I will ask about pre paid meals and stuff, and then put up another poll for costs and stuff.
Id be up for it. Somthing like 2000 points. I think it would be better as a 4 game thing then total up victory points and scores. double elimination might get boring for the people who loose twice. £5 to enter, winner takes all isnt too bad either.
Shame its next years! Could do it later on this year?
A fiver seems okay, I think.
As for doing it this year, as much as I would like to, we wont due to the other tourneys going on at the same time. Its going to be a busy Saturday anyway :/
That an I'm not sure I have the interest of 16 people so far. Stll, next year it can be done, as there will be plenty of time to gain the interest needed.
I'm also going to design a little bit of a feedback thing. Just a little bit of paper asking how you think the meet went, and ideas for other LO events etc. So that I can hand that out at the meet and get some more feedback about it all
