hey there I need to know if there is a gaming club in meath
Hi Goliath & Animated_Shadow,
There have a club in Louth - Drogheda to be specific (so near to Meath). There is a website Drogheda Gamers • Portal with all the info and forums where if you want you can arrange a game.
Basically its in St Peters COI church hall [I can email/PM you a map if you need] from 1pm-10pm. However 1-5:30 is 'youngbloods' if you are aged 10-15 (or have younger siblings) and veterans (16+) are there from 1-5:30 (although in practice the veterans come along around 3-4pm to allow the youngbloods have better use of the tables/scenery.
There are enough tables for at least 10 games and plenty of good scenery. We recently ran a games day which was attended by about 40-50 people. We play both fantasy and 40k and sometimes stuff like munchkin, risk, camelot and other board games. The primary focus is on wargaming so you're practically guaranteed a game! We have a non-compeditave ethos, that's not to say that you don't try and win, but we encourage good gaming and sportsmanship, rather than some cheeseball list from the internet designed to 'pwn n00bs' without having fun.
I have taken the liberty of PMing you both incase you forget to check back or haven't subscribed to the thread too!
