Is there anyone interested in starting a gaming club in and around the Chapel Hill campus?
Amusing that I just graduated from UNC a few months ago; I would have loved to play, but I moved to New Jersey now.
In any case, the closest 40k store is (you probably know) a store called Sci Fi Genre in Durham. In Cary, All Fun and Games is also a store with a much larger following; I used to play with them all the time.

Chapel Hill is pretty much in the triangle anyways...
That sucks...its hard to find anyone on campus that plays. I have been to all fun and games, but its just such a long drive from campus. Ends up being like 65 miles round trip. I also checked out sci fi genre but their 40k following seems rather slim. I was hoping to find enough people here on campus to start a legitimate club; atm I'm in the process of printing out/posting fliers.
Yeah. There is a group of people that go to "Game Night" AKA "CORPSE" on Saturday nights, but they're mostly focused around anime and yelling at one another. Nevertheless, most of the 40k players I met through that club, you may have similar luck but its unlikely. Nevertheless, most of the people I knew that played have since graduated.
I formed a Facebook group for meetups and such, but the entirety of it is essentially obsolete now with members that left the school.
About five years ago, there was a store called Cerebral Hobbies but it died due to lack of good management.
Ultimately, SciFiGenre is really your best bet if you want something nearby. I forget which days they have it, but they have weekly 40k days and it isn't too difficult to get a Pickup Game.
Additionally, I don't think AllFun&Games is 65miles from UNC Campus. It's more along the lines of 17-or-so miles one way. Take I-40 to Hwy55 to Hwy65. Regardless, AllFun&Games really does have a strong following, especially during summer and winter break.
Ultimately, I hope that Triangle40k link helped you. Feel free to PM me if you have any further questions that I may be able to help you with.
