Mostly for my own protection as we meet in my house.
The last thing I need is someone saying " yeah this creepy guy that plays with toy soilders lures children to his house over the internet". etc.
Or some parent making such a complaint if they find out their underage kid has been coming over without telling them.
Adults need to be careful about what situations they put themselves in in this regard because in alot of these situations adults vs. kids results in the adult being treated as guilty until proven innocent.
So with that in mind if a parent or present member ok's or vouches for the individual then i feel a little more comfortable about it.
You played at Dragon's Lair right? We have a number of Dragon's lair regulars who play with us. Are you on their yahoo group? You may already know some of our members which means they could vouche for you.
As a former store owner myself I can tell you that this is not a "kids are bad" policy. Some of my best customers and funnest people to play where kids, not to mention some of our best painters.
Hope this makes some sense.
