Welcome to Librarium Online!
Who here goes to the Scranton GW? I'm going to be attending college at Wilkes University and I would like to keep my game sharp and be able to socialize with other gamers in person.
Does anyone also know what specialist games people play there if any?
I play 40k and Necromunda.
I don't know about a games workshop in the Wilkes-Barre area, but I do know that The Unknown on Mullberry street near the University of Scranton is a good place to go for the occasional game of 40k, and a few informal tournaments.
If you have a recent issue of white dwarf, it has the address in there.
The Unknown on the corner of Adam's Ave and Mulberry St. in Scranton is a cool place. Eric (the owner) is a nice guy and he keeps a decent stock of 40k models considering how small the store is. He has 5 tables and continually runs a very informal tournament. Most of the players there are friendly and easy to game with.
As far as in Wilkes-Barre, I don't know of anything except for a once-a-month game at the local Barnes & Noble, but I don't know much about it. I generally play with my brother and on of our friends.
-Thread Killer Bryan
Tyranid Hive Fleet Typhoeus
T'au Empire, Bork'an Sept
Do any of these stores have a website?
I forgot that you mentioned that there was an annual game at the Barnes and Noble. You mean the college book store as well when you mean that right? When is it?
Sadly I don't have all of my stuff with me right now, but I could after October break.
Also, this is a kick to see if anyone else knows about stuff in the area.
Gah! I hate triple posting, but I can't help it here...
I just got off the phone with the Wilkes Barre B&N and they are no longer holding the warhammer events. That leaves me stuck with no one and nowhere to play warhammer. If anyone knows of anyone or anyplace. Please let me know.
I also don't have a car this semester, I will next semester.
