I will respect your wishes and not nock it till I try it. I am interested to see what kind of list Nox makes out of it though.

When you dodge, "I won't let them kill me." If you protect someone, "I won't let them die." If you attack, "I will kill them."

yea i dont think that ravens take alot of bikes... but that was the first raven guard that I had made... I was actually thinking about dropping one of the bike squads for scouts... and I think that would still be a very competitive list

also after really thining about it, I think that khan and shrike were made to go together... I think they are very synergistic indeed...

Let's see what the MarkIII has in mind to spice my puppies up for fifth edition. :o

    - 1000 points of Space Wolves
    - 2-3 units of scouts are a must. I swear by them. I have virtually every imaginable decked out infantry model you could make for Space Wolves.
    - Furthermore, I dislike drop pods due to my incredibly bad luck rolling for reserves and tossing the scatter dice. I tend to sneak in some bikes, preds, dreads, speeders or rhino's on a regular basis. I'd like to not to for once, and field an completely infantry list against all comers for an upcoming tournament.

    Cheers,
    Wulf

First i built you a strong core of troops(the all important), of course threw shrike in there, then added the assault element that will be your main focus. The focus here is infantry/men. These are very important for all things.

    HQ
    Shrike

Captain, Relic Blade, Jump Pack, Melta Bombs --160

    Troops
Tactical Squad x10, Flamer, Missile Launcher, Rhino --205

Tactical Squad x10, Flamer, Missile Launcher, Rhino --205

Tactical Squad x10, Flamer, Lascannon, Rhino --215

Tactical Squad x10, Melta Gun, Missile Launcher, Rhino --210

    Fast Attack
Assault Squad x10, Power fist, Melta Bombs --220

Assault Squad x10, Power fist, Melta Bombs --220

Assault Squad x10, Power fist, Melta Bombs --220

If this is to many models(more than you own) let me know what you have and ill meet you half way.

Shrike and captain with assault squad infiltrate. Break them up during movement(ONLY if there is something for both to charge!), otherwise keep them together. They should target enemies in cover so that, should you massacre, you will have a cover save when its the enemies turn.

The rest of the army should move up 2 rhinos and an assault squad together. This keeps the assault squads safe until they are ready to charge.

bridle18: its comin man haha, soon as i get home.

I really like Nox's Raven Guard list. I'll be sure to try out both and make personal modifications if neccicary. Thanks both of you for the lists. If you want I can tell you how the battles with these go.

With Salamanders i think it is best to have many troops backed up by a few dreadnoughts. And as you want dreads in here... PERFECT!

    HQ
    Vulcan

    Troops
Tactical squad x10, Flamer, Multi Melta, Power Weapon, Drop Pod --210

Tactical squad x10, Melta, Multi Melta, Drop Pod --210

Tactical squad x10, Melta, Multi Melta, Drop Pod --210

    Elites
Dreadnought, Multi Melta, Drop Pod --140

Dreadnought, Multi Melta, Drop Pod --140

Alright so i would throw Vulcan in the squad with power weapon. Drop in 2 tactical squads and a dread. You need to set up a hold first, this is the tactical squads. They have better staying power than the dreads so can hold out till the rest of the army comes. Drop Pods are a tricky army to play, if you have not yet i would read the tactica on thim on this forum.

So target the mean tanks first, combat squad if it is not annihilation. Flame all the troops you can. Deployment is key for this kind of army. Stay in a group abd use the pods to act as a wall against assault units and heavy weapons.
