well what i want to do is have the distance people the scouts and dev squad cover the rest of the field while the tact and dreads move in closer to cover Pedro the chap and the termies ive thought about combining the termies into one squad and rushing them also thinking about picking up a land raider crusader. but this is my first army and my first list so any insight would be helpful

Changes i would make in blue:

HQ

Pedro Kantor: 175 fine.

Spacemarine chaplain 120 give him terminator armour if he's going with the termies.
combi-flamer
melta bombs

Troops

Tact squadx10 175 Drop the tac squads for stern guard vets (as they count as scoring units with Pedro

Tact squadx10 175
flame and missle (see above)

scouts x10 170
camo cloaks camo cloaks are a waste, keep him back and give 'em snipers

scouts x10 220 drop the cloaks and give 'em all shotguns (now you have points for the camo cloaks chap's termie armour and the sniper).
with Telion


elites You may only have 3 elites

assault terminatorsx5
lightning claws

Put these squads together.

assault terminatorsx5
storm shields and thunder hammers

dreadnought 115 fine but see below.
heavy flamer
multi-melta
power weapon

dreadnought 115 Drop this dread (it's illegal if you don't) and give the other dread a
heavy flamer lascannon.

devestator squad 190 perfect!

plasma cannonx2
lascannon

it does i want all the input i can get. i would put a lascannon on him but most of my stuff is AoBR so makes a little hard and ive thought about ppicking up sterngaurd and dropping them in a pod

Sternguard in pods does seem like a good idea. If you don't have a lascannon do what i did; attach some barrels made out of other lascannons (you must have another lascannon somewhere?).

Any squad you attach Telion to does not need to pay for cloaks! The stealth universal rule that Telion has also applies to any squad he joins.

If he does combine the two termie squads then the second dread is not illegal.

Also, I would highly recommend some transports for your units to be competitive.

i do have spare las cannons i just picked up another devi squad and another 5 snipers and i have a rhino a razorback and a drop pod so far. i want a land raider crusader and possibly another drop pod or another razor back with TLLC

By the way, dev squads cannot take heavy flamers. Sternguard, however, can.
